hello all... I am back. I spent some quality time with my family and now I am back to finish up this week. to be honest I was a bit homesick. I apologize, but my nerves are in knots. i realize that I will not be able to deal with this as I would like to so I have to go visit the doctor this week. we did a chance to go to a flea in Alsip, but of course it was not as good as the one here, but I did get a few things that I left behind. I did find a name for my new blog and it will be called.....

I'M GOING BACK TO THE START

as we were driving the highway this past weekend a COLD PLAY song was playing and this phrase came up and I thought why not. it's maybe not very creative, but it will represent the changes that are happening now.

THANKS again for your support. Beth thank you... Linda H. thank you and Linda S. thank you.

one exciting thing that did happen, we went to visit a few potential living areas and GLEN ELLYN rocks... it's an adorable place. beautiful homes with older trees and beautifuly kept front yards/gardens with adorable wreaths on the door. they have a wonderful little downtown with cafes and a few little cute stores. Kind of reminded me of OLD KIRKWOOD here in Missouri. Wheaton, IL is next on the list. we will be living in Naperville for the next two months, but to be honest when we drove through Glen Ellyn Naperville was out the door.

Peace out and love to you. the countdown now has begun. let the tears roll!

I took this picture a while ago. You can see this beautiful lighthouse at the end of Navy Pier... the Pier is one of my favorite places in Chicago. walking along the water and taking in the beautiful sights. if you are ever in Chicago drop me a note. I would love to break out of my shell and meet new people.

I packed a few bags that we will be taking to Chicago this weekend. dropping off one of my dogs with my mom. next week will be my last days at work and then off we go. I shall be back to St. Louis hopefully in a months time to check on things here since my house has not sold. Praying to St. Joseph that it will soon sell.

enough of me....

thanks for visiting my blog. enjoy your weekend. thank GOD that tomorrow is Friday.

love,

just me

a bit stressed, but hanging in there. I am debating if I should end this blog and start a new one when I get back to blogging. I am not good with making up good names. I thought why not start a new one to coincide with my new beggining.....

this puffy cloud was in front of our house two days ago. it was amazingly beautiful and kept growing. my husband and I are very different in personality, but we both love watching storm clouds in the sky. I tease him. you should of been a weatherman instead of an engineer.... just goes to show how amazing the world is around us.

vintage cake toppers

Sunday's find. this past weekend was my last visit to the flea here in MO. right before i left this was one of my last finds that I purchased. the lady told me that her husband's aunt had just passed and this was hers. i think she said she died somewhere in her 80's so I am thinking this might be a bit up there in years. not sure. i love it and to tell you the truth i believe vintage cake toppers might be next on my list of collecting.

hope your weekend was wonderful. this was our last weekend here in MO. next weekend we will start travelling back home to take some necessities for our move. we did a lot this weekend. we took a drive back to our first apartment in Chesterfield, Mo and took a long drive to Alton, IL/Grafton, IL to say our goodbyes and also to check on the overflowing river. the Village of Elsah which is between Alton and Grafton does have flooding. we could not turn into the village because the front part of it is filled with water. I found the famous Rubensteins. this place is packed to the rim with stuff. by stuff I mean good junk. I talked to the owner for a while. he is 81 and is still running his business. he loves flea markets and loves spending time with his 75 yr old wife. how sweet! I will have to show you what I bought from him. well it is Sunday at 9:45 p.m. & I swear my eyes are closing while I am sitting here typing. I am wiped out. have a good week and come back soon to check out my weekend flea findings.

new finds and picture practicing

I left work early today and since I had not posted any of my recent finds, I thought I would take this opportunity to do so. I know I am going to repeat myself again, but I love seam binding and any chance I get to buy some I will. I found this wonderful pink basket. Not sure if it's old and if I had to guess I don't think it is, but it's very pretty. 2 tea cups to add to the collection. and a wonderful linen table cloth. the colors are wonderful and it has pretty flowers imprinted.

Hope you enjoyed this little show and tell. next weekend I will be taking some of my shtuff to you know where and then the following week is moving our move date.

after that I probably will not have access to my blog, but hopefully I will still be able to visit some of my favorites.

blessings,

just me.
